Erected one of the largest temporary roof's presently
standing in Europe.
UBIX® customer, Globe Scaffolding has erected one of the largest
temporary roof's in Europe.

Located north of London, the UBIX® roof is being used to protect
a building within which operations inside can not be interrupted in
any way, and water entering the building would have severe
consequences.
The UBIX® roof measures a gigantic 45m wide and 64m long, with a
total coverage area of 2823sqm. To avoid unprotected work at height
and climbing on the beams, no cranes were used in the erection; the
UBIX® roof was erected entirely with the roll-out method using
Combisafe's RUNWAY track system.

During the roll-out erection, the scaffolders worked from the
safety of a stepped gable end scaffold to assemble each bay of the
UBIX® roof. The complete 25 bay roof, with an assembly weight in
excess of 30 tons, was erected without any difficulty, by an
average of 5 scaffolders in 15 working days.

This site also used the Combisafe Storm Stopper sheeting system;
an innovatively enhanced keder sheeting system designed to
withstand the most demanding applications. Roof sheets measuring
almost 50m in length were used on this project.
